CARNATIONS will participate in ITM 2026 in Anaheim, California, from January 26 to 29. Dr. Samer Khanafseh will serve as Program Chair and lead CARNATIONS’ technology transfer efforts. The full CARNATIONS PI Team will attend to share research insights and explore collaboration opportunities.

CARNATIONS student Liam Carey of Virginia Tech has received the UTC Outstanding Student of the Year Award from the U.S. Department of Transportation. His achievements reflect excellence in navigation research, including work conducted through the CARNATIONS REACH program under the mentorship of Professor Mathieu Joerger and industry partners.

CARNATIONS Technology Transfer, led by Samer Khanafseh and partnered with TruNav, has won Stage 1 of the ARPA-I Ideas Challenge, earning recognition and advancing toward the 2026 ARPA-I Ideas Challenge Finals.
